Job Description

*This position is primarily remote but will be required to be in office two times a month for collaboration working sessions.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer-III will be responsible for design and execution of complete system testing on medium to large implementations. Works collaboratively with project team for all testing related activities to accomplish completion of QA tasks on-time with a high level of quality. This role will be responsible for writing and executing manual and automation test scripts leveraging both Waterfall and Agile methodologies with excellent Defect Management skills. This role will also coordinate with offshore teams working in different time zones to ensure quality product delivery on time.

Job Duties

• Lead medium to large project initiatives and mentor resources regarding application and technical knowledge including database and data warehouse, conducting daily touch base meetings with offshore QA, Vendor QA and internal teams to provide accurate project status.
• Build and Execute medium to large automation test scripts in ALM, Jenkins using Selenium and Protractor and maintain the scripts using GIT. Execute Performance and Security testing when needed using JMeter, LoadRunner and WebInspect.
• Perform manual and automated test execution to ensure applications meet business requirements.
• Review manual test cases written by offshore to ensure complete test coverage.
• Interact with project management, development team, and project stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives. Provides high-level estimates and detailed level of efforts for Project planning and resource planning using Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Anticipate, identify, log, and track issues as they arise and communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to QA and project management using Microsoft.net, C# platform applications, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Postman, Soup UI, ETL processes for testing and ALM, JIRA for defect tracking.
• Follow defined quality assurance processes to ensure all projects meet testing standards.
• Daily Scrum/Project Meetings and other duties as required.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science is required.
• 5+ years direct experience as a QA Engineer for major application integration and/or major application product release within a Microsoft .net, Angular and cloud environment.
• Extensive experience in database testing - SQLServer and Oracle.
• Experience in automation, performance and/or security testing using Selenium, Protractor, UFT, JMeter, LoadRunner, WebInspect, Jenkins etc
• Experience with Infrastructure testing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment and be able to work on multiple applications simultaneously.
• Must be confident with high energy and a great passion for QA.
