The Senior Support Specialist is responsible for managing the organizations computer hardware, software system and most importantly providing the highest level of stakeholder and team support while using IdenTrust part of HID Global's products and services.

IdenTrust's Business Operations Department:
IdenTrust, part of HID Global, is a public key certificate authority that provides digital certificates to financial institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies and enterprises. The software development team is responsible for developing new applications, enhancing existing applications, solving problems, and resolving defects. The team is based in Salt Lake City.
As our Senior Support Specialist, you'll support HID's success by:

- Acting as an escalation point for 3rd tier end-user support issues.
- Staying up to date on security policies and practices.
- Managing and prioritizing service desk customer portal, consisting of internal requests and project work.
- Providing after-hours support on schedule rotation to internal and external customers.
- Updating active directory for computer accounts, user accounts, distribution lists and security groups.
- Assisting supervisors with customer call-backs for advanced technical support needs.
- Developing operations procedures and tools to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Monitoring and replacing aged assets including sourcing, procurement, receipt, documentation, and distribution.
- Being responsible for the recycling of all expired IT equipment and technologies, ensuring correct disposal according to policy.
- Ensuring proper communication of group policy changes.
- Supporting new hire onboarding procedures, including creating domain/exchange account, asset assignment, and Jira/Confluence access.
- Having strong experience with desktop tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity.
- Advise management of any event, project or system related issues that have not been resolved or addressed in a timely manner.
- Ability to escalate and track issues with vendors and other internal support teams to troubleshoot problems with hardware and software.
- Support various applications from desktop perspective.
- On-call availability to respond to support requests and flexible work schedule to respond to the needs of the business.
- Be able to install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals, such as docking stations, printers, digital scanners, VoIP telephones, and map drives.
Your Experience and Education include:
-
- Associates in Computer Science.
- 5+ years' experience in an operations support role.
- 3+ years' experience providing technical assistance via phone.
- 2+ years' experience troubleshooting and maintaining directory services.
