Set Carpenter/Themed Fabrication

Overview We are seeking multiple Carpenters with at least 5 years experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in set construction and event fabrication. This is aPart-TimeandContractbased position. Contracts range from 1 day - multiple months. Responsibilities • Building sets, experiential builds, trade shows and theme park elements. • Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately. • Building set flats, fixtures, cabinetry and other elements. • Prep elements for paint department. • Have a full understanding and experience with table saws, hand tools, sanders, lathes, planers, nail guns, etc... • Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure seamless execution of restoration projects. • Utilize tools and equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance productivity. • Bringing a full tool set to work; drills, hand tools, nail guns, etc... Qualifications • Carpentry Expertise: Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including cutting, joining, sanding, and finishing. Ability to work with materials like wood, plywood, MDF, and sometimes metal or composites. • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using hand tools (saws, drills, hammers) and power tools (circular saws, jigsaws, routers, CNC machines). Knowledge of pneumatic tools and specialty equipment for scenic work. • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD designs, or 3D renderings provided by event designers or architects. • Fabrication: Experience with laminates, veneers, paints, and finishes to create polished, client-facing structures. • Rigging and Installation: Knowledge of safely assembling and disassembling temporary structures, including rigging for suspended elements or large installations.Join our team as a Fabricator, where your skills will contribute significantly to our success in delivering outstanding construction solutions! • 3 references are a must • Industry experience:Must have worked at a notable shop in the industry.
