Job Profile Summary

This role will work with the Business Decision Support (BDS) PowerPlanning team. They will design, develop, review, test, deploy, and support the product. They may also work with other teams, like PowerLabor or PowerCosting, and product stakeholders.

PowerPlanning is a set of modules that are designed to help hospital leadership make decisions that impact investment in hospital operations and improve quality of care. The focus of the product is to provide business managers and financial professionals with easy-to-use tools that make forecasting, budgeting, and reporting faster and more accurate than any other system in the market.

What you'll own in this role:

• Design components and features on
• Implement features and fix bugs
• Review and test the work of team members
• Provide support for deployed products
• Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders in the design and development process
• Help support new team members and mentor junior developers

What you'll bring to the role:

• Interpersonal skills, including a positive, solution-oriented attitude
• Able to handle some ambiguity and collaborate with others
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Agile development
• Object-oriented programming (.NET, C#)
• JavaScript / Typescript frameworks (Angular)
• Relational databases (SQL Server)
• Forecast models (healthcare.ai)

Other critical skills you may possess:

• Healthcare data, and hospital and clinic operations
• Microsoft Azure
• Data warehousing
• Cloud-based systems
• Data science
• Data pipelines (batch and streaming)

Preferred Experience & Education

• BS/BA or MS in Computer science, information systems, or other technology/science degree
• Software Engineer: Minimum 2 - 3 years experience using technologies listed above
