Software Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

We are looking for a great engineer who is eager to learn and ready to be part of a high-energy team that helps each other to efficiently and effectively deliver high quality code and solutions.

The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains the CXone software platform. Key responsibilities include all tiers of the CXone technology, including (but not limited to) design and development of CXone products and features, unit testing, code reviews, resolving defects encountered during the QA cycle, supporting the production environment, and assisting other developers in a team environment utilizing agile development processes.

Major Functions/Responsibilities:

• Work as a member of an agile team to enhance and improve software written primarily in the following languages: GO, C#.
• Develop microservices using the latest AWS Cloud technology.
• Regularly deploy code using CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage time effectively working on one or more concurrent projects.
• Deliver high-quality software on time.
• Perform on-call and production support duties on a rotational basis with team members.
• Works with architects and product management for the successful completion of a project.
• Follow established department procedures, policies, and processes.
• Follow the company Code of Ethics and CXone policies and procedures at all times.

Sample technology and tools you'll get to use: Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch), Docker, GitHub, Visual Studio, Jira, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, and more.

Required Education, Experience, and Specific Job-Related Skills

Education Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.

Experience Requirements:

• 2-5 years' experience in software development
• Experience in one or more of the following software languages: Go, C#, C++, Java, Python
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of unit testing
• Working knowledge of user stories or use cases
• Team Player
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in cloud-based microservice development a definite plus.
