Summer EFL Teachers EF Brighton Hourly Paid

Fixed-term position starting in July 2021

EF Brighton is seeking ‘can-do’ EFL teachers to join a skilled and positive staff room working with 16+ and adult students.

Using our own blended learning system, you will have an opportunity to teach up to 17 students in a class. Our average students’ age is between 16 and 25, and students’ length of study is from 2 weeks to 9 months.

We embrace technology in the classroom, especially with the new way of teaching with social distancing. We write and print our own course material and curriculum, encourage creativity and student needs focused teaching. Teachers deliver student-centred classes focusing on task-based learning. Our classes consist of general English, special interest classes, and lectures and we focus on linking activities ran outside the classroom with what is taught inside the class.

EF Brighton has a vibrant and friendly working environment and we pride ourselves on our supportive and motivated staff-room of teachers. We have a very strong academic team of senior and new teachers. Through CPDs, observations and peer observations we ensure our teachers gain the skills required to cater for our students’ needs and develop their own personal style.

The role
Teachers can expect to teach a range of levels and language skills both face to face and online between 8.30am and 6.30pm 5 days a week (at the discretion of Director of Studies). 

We have an extensive library of materials to help with planning and delivering cohesive and coherent lessons. We have helped reduce administration by creating easy to use Apps for attendance records and student progress reports.
Administration of placement, graduation or progress tests are also incorporated into our online learning platform to make students and teachers lives easier.

Degree or equivalent plus CELTA / Trinity TESOL Cert minimum
