Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sushi preparation, excellent knife skills, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Sushi Preparation:
• Prepare various types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls.
• Ensure proper cutting of fish and other ingredients.
• Assemble and plate sushi dishes with precision and attention to detail.
Ingredient Management:
• Select and source fresh, high-quality fish and other ingredients.
• Monitor inventory and maintain adequate supplies of sushi ingredients.
• Properly store and handle all ingredients to maintain freshness and safety.
Kitchen Operations:
• Maintain a clean and organized sushi station.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Customer Interaction:
• Interact with customers to provide an engaging and informative dining experience.
• Handle special requests and accommodate dietary restrictions when possible.
Quality Control:
• Consistently check the quality of ingredients and finished products.
• Ensure each dish meets our high standards for taste, appearance, and freshness.
• Receive feedback from managers and make improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Sushi Cook or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine.
• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is a plus.

Pay:
