System Engineer I - Hybrid

Job Description

As a System Engineer I, you will design, install, monitor and support technology infrastructures across Cerner applications and servers. You will perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades and resource optimization. Your end goal is a system built for optimal integrity, recoverability and availability. We are looking for versatile and innovative individuals with experience in a variety of technologies - including but not limited to Linux, Windows, Networking, Batch Scripting, Automation, Database and Virtualization tools.

Working Environment

Hybrid & Onsite: Relocation Assistance Offered

This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• At least 4 years total combined higher education and related work experience including:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
• Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Expectations

• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
• Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
