UX Designer

Job Description

O.C. Tanner is looking for a UX Designer to join our team. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary product team made up of UX Designers and Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to discover, validate, prioritize, and build solutions to help move our products forward in the market.

Ultimately, we want to delight our users with an exceptional experience.

This is a hybrid in-person/remote role. We meet on Mondays at our headquarters in Salt Lake City. The rest of the week we leave it up to you to work in the way that's best for you and your team. FYI, we use Figma as our primary design tool.

You will:

• Discover and prioritize user problems and opportunities.
• Find ways to solve complex interaction and visual design problems while adhering to our design system.
• Craft high-quality experiences through testing and iteration.
• Build interactive prototypes for user testing and concept validation.
• Conduct user interviews, moderate testing sessions, and perform other research activities with our UX research team.
• Work closely with your team's product manager and engineers to ensure to define short-term and long-term strategies for improving your product area.

Job Requirements

We are looking for:

• 2+ years of experience working as a UX Designer, UX/UI Designer, Interaction Design, Product Designer, etc.
• A digital portfolio showcasing your product design process and highlighting your experience in problem-solving, information architecture, interaction design, user research, and other UX-specific skills.
• Solid communication skills to express your ideas to your teammates and other stakeholders.
• A love of collaboration with other designers and teams of non-designers.
• Self-motivation with a passion for learning and growth.

Bonus points if you have:

• Familiarity with how code works (Specifically HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
• Familiarity with accessibility in UX (color contrast, reading level, screen readers, etc.)
• Experience creating animation or motion design for interfaces
