In addition to the management of translation projects, this role will include procurement, cost control, invoice validation, and direct communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Your specific duties will include the following: Responsibility for the management and control of the freelancers on all translation work allocated to you, ensuring that MED PLANET achieves and exceeds client expectations Scheduling resources for translation and proofreading File preparation for translation i.e. masking/locking of text irrelevant for each target language Maintenance of translation memories Building and developing a network of experienced and reliable freelance linguists Vetting process and rates negotiations Setting up and maintaining linguists’ accounts in our supplier system Responsible for the quality control of translations Making sure client standards are met and deadlines are respected Delivery of excellent client services Participation to production when necessary Undergoing of adverse event training when requested by the end clients Qualifications Higher education in translation, linguistics, preferably in German Project management skills Good knowledge of a CAT-tool, preferably SDL Trados Studio Familiarity with the translation industry Comfortable with PEMT (post edition of machine translation) Ability to work independently Strong multitasking and networking skills Proficiency in English, since this is the official company language and all communication with clients is in English. This will be paid quarterly once probation has been passed.
