will work to solidify enhance and support our data quality analytics and dashboardsreports <p> <p>Position Description <p> <p>Actively partner with Corporate Data Strategy and Governance and other Corporate Technology divisions to design and implement solutions for extraction and integration of data to and from data warehouses data marts and data lakes for the purposes of reporting decision support and driving insights <p> <p>Identify investigate and resolve data discrepancies by finding the root cause of issues work with partners across various crossfunctional teams to prevent future occurrences <p> <p>Proactively look for opportunities to optimize the data loading structure and develop new approaches to improve the onboarding and integrity of the data <p> <p>Provide basic reporting and respond to inquiries asking for insights about the data sets from stakeholders in a timely fashion thru data <p> <p>Ensure that data is clean consistent and synchronized across platforms as you oversee the design and implantation of data cleansing procedures <p> <p>Represent area on projects be a key player in meetings with all levels of management <p> <p>Act as a mentor to team members and the Foundational Business on all technical issues <p> <p>Qualifications <p> <p>Bachelors degree Information Science Computer Systems Analysis or Computer Science preferred <p> <p>Proficient knowledge of SQL <p> <p>Experience working with Redshift and Hadoop <p> <p>Ability to interpret data to help in strategic decision making <p> <p>Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills required <p> <p>Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in writing and verbally to all levels within NYLife <p> <p>Experience manipulating large data sets leveraging tools such as Python amp R <p> <p>Knowledge of the ETL process <p> <p>Solid proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications expert Excel skills <p> <p>Expertise in doing Root Cause Analysis and resolving
