This is a multi-disciplinary role that crosses electrical, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing.RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with Harness Lead, Senior Harness Engineers, and multiple engineering groups on space vehicle harness design and implementation Draw and revise electrical harness schematics with oversight from Senior or Lead Create Bill of Materials alongside harness drawings (part selection) Create harness 3D CAD models with oversight from Senior or Lead Assist with harness manufacturing oversight Identify and document harness manufacturing best practices Perform or oversee testing for harness design or production Learn about harness materials and parts and apply what you learn to flight and test applications Learn about harness design best practices and apply to engineering drawings Ability to go above and beyond job duties described herein MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related technical field Passionate about space and self-motivating / self-tasking Pride in the quality of your work Experience using Microsoft Office suite (including Visio) Strong organizational skills Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Some understanding of aerospace and commercial grade connectors and wire Some understanding of common best practices associated with harness design and routing 1-2 years in engineering design or manufacturing Experience with electrical schematic software such as Zuken E3, Capital Logic, Solidworks Electrical, or similar Experience with 3D Modeling in Solidworks, Creo, NX or similar York Space Systems provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, military or protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
