MWR Laborer (Community Recreation)

Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass all applicable records and background check. Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment. Must have a valid state issued driver's license. Must have or be able to obtain the following within 60 days of employment: First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Forklift Operator, Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization (SIOTO). Must be able to exert heavy physical effort, frequently lifting and moving objects weighing over 70 pounds. Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate must possess: Knowledge of safe and efficient operating techniques of various large equipment and power tools: (Operates a variety of power equipment to include, but not limited to: posthole diggers, blowers, weed eaters, power washers, mowers, box trucks with lift gate, etc.) Ability to operate and control riding mowers on slopes which requires constant attention to working space and environment. Ability to safely operate equipment around buildings, walls, trees, fence lines, banks and hillsides, trenches, curbs, rocks and other visible obstacles. Ability to operate various controls and levers to maneuver equipment and lift/lower, adjust, engage/disengage components or attached devices. Knowledge and skill using hand tools and other equipment such as: shovels, rakes, hammers, bars, saws, axes, loppers, wrenches, brushes, brooms, ladders, banding equipment, and pallet jacks. Ability to complete assignments involving several tasks by following detailed processes which require remembering directions, sequences, following simple drawings, etc. Ability to follow general instructions or read simple drawings to perform tasks requiring significant manual skill. Education This position does not possess a positive educational requirement. Additional information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
