Learn more about this agency Duties ***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POISITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP*** This position is located within an Air National Guard, Aircraft Maintenance Organization. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) T32 National Guard position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The primary purpose of this position is to perform preliminary analysis of long term forecasting of readiness and budgets .1. Plans, organizes, and oversees all unit level deployment activities. Configures and maintains functional Unit Type Codes (UTCs) as postured by MAJCOM FAMs (Functional Area Managers) using available unit assets. 2. Performs analysis activities. Establishes metric and system analysis systems for unit and higher level management to assess the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory procedures. 3. Provides technical guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding unit deployment program. Advises commander on the direction, management, and operation of all aspects of unit deployment capabilities. 4. Ensures personnel and equipment readiness. Ensures the unit is ready to meet wartime and peacetime mobility taskings by scheduling and tracking unit deployment training. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Michigan Air National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Michigan Air National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Michigan Air National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
