About Role:

  • Project collaboration in the acquisition of new business
  • Customer interface for account management
  • Responsibility for the sales account and the development of series projects (negotiations with customers - change management - cost tracking - volume tracking)
  • Support with tenders for new and global procurement requests (including price information and preparation of tender documents)
  • Preparation of KPI data and figures
  • Maintenance of the customer database
  • Implementation and support of the change management process and change cost estimation (calculation request, pricing, internal price approval, price offer)
  • Collaboration with production companies, product management and engineering
  • Tracking of special costs (prototypes, special offers, investments, etc.)
  • Support in achieving profit targets
  • Invoicing for development services, samples & prototypes and special orders
  • Tracking overdue payments for special invoices
  • Close collaboration with the Asia team
  • Collaboration with the customer team in all functions, especially in controlling

Your Background:

  • Completed studies in business administration, Engineering or comparable qualification
  • Initial professional experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and wiring harness products is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Deep understanding of pricing and cost calculation
  • Ability to quickly understand contexts and find your way around a complex environment
  • Self-reliant and team-oriented work
  • Strong preference for candidates who are passionate about developing new business opportunities
  • Must have an extensive and established network within the BMW (EDS) ecosystem.
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives and foster partnerships for business growth.
  • Proven 1-2 years experience in business development in BMW.
  • Very good language skills in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Willingness to travel
