About the Role:

Motive is seeking a Senior Analyst of Business Strategy and Operations with a strong analytical background and passion for all things data to join our Sales Strategy and Operations team. You will be aligned to our Customer Success organization to support the reporting, analytics, systems and go-to-market strategies required to drive increased retention and growth within our existing customer base. 

We are a small team seeking someone eager to tackle the challenges faced by a company experiencing rapid growth, and motivated by the opportunity to drive substantial impact internally at Motive as well as for our customers in Trucking, Oil & Gas, Construction, or any other industry  that requires a fleet of commercial vehicles and are essential to our daily lives. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Support the Senior Director of Customer Success Sales Operations and Strategy, as well as work closely with our Go-to-Market Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Product Analytics, and Strategic Analytics teams to build the data backbone to optimize impact, efficiency, effectiveness, and revenue growth
  • Be responsible for our data infrastructure (Snowflake) and the business intelligence platforms (Tableau) including Customer Success adopted systems such as Salesforce and Catalyst
  • Build and maintain key documentation related to our data and processes
  • Lead projects to improve reporting as well as our system and process gaps. Examples include building new tables in Snowflake, our data warehouse, or ownership of projects that will increase the effectiveness of Motive’s Customer Health Scores, expansion pipelines, and product telemetry 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Strong technical data and analytical aptitude: high level of proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, Excel, and data visualization tools, such as Tableau
  • High standard of quality and attention to detail 
  • You have an eye for operational efficiency and making complex processes simple
  • Exceptional analytical skills: not only conducting analysis but you also have the ability proactively extract key insights and turn those insights into actionable strategy
  • Adept at communicating and building influential relationships with your internal cross functional stakeholders (Field Operations, Business Intelligence, Strategic Analytics, Product Analytics)
  • Experience with analytics in the Customer Success space is a plus

The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. Motive uses three geographic zones to determine pay range: Zone 4 (workers who live in San Francisco), Zone 3 (workers who live in select U.S. metropolitan areas: Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City Area, Seattle, Washington D.C.), and Zone 2 (workers who live elsewhere in the United States). For this role, the compensation ranges are: 

  • Zone 4 123,000 - 169,400
  • Zone 3 111,000 - 151,800
  • Zone 2 98,000 - 135,300

Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units.
