Content Marketing Intern

Our Content Marketing team is helping lead the industry into this new era by providing thoughtful insights and useful information for IT, security and risk management professionals. Tanium is looking for a content marketing intern to play a key role in helping create engaging and effective content to drive our marketing engine.  

Reporting to the Director of Content Marketing, this role will help tell the Tanium story. You will support the editorial process for creating marketing collateral, website copy, emails, ebooks and blog posts. You will manage content projects, with opportunities to write and edit content as it moves through production.  

While you need to have strong writing skills, you should also understand the mechanics of good writing and understand editorial best practices. In addition to strong writing and editing skills, you will need familiarity with corporate IT technology issues and B2B marketing practices. Additional knowledge of cybersecurity is also helpful. 

What you'll do: 

• Work closely with other teams to ideate, plan, manage, edit and write content as it moves through production. 
• Help ensure content quality and consistent messaging.
• Take on unique projects to expand the scope of our content marketing efforts.
• Work on both long-form (ebooks, PR articles, blog posts, reports) and short-form (1-sheeters, emails, web copy).
• Help evolve our SEO strategy and execution.
• Support our analytics program for reporting key content metrics.  

We're looking for someone who is:

• Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future
• Available to work full-time from June 12, 2023 to August 18, 2023 
• A currently enrolled undergraduate student with a competitive GPA
• Graduating Spring 2024 or Fall 2023
• Strong passion for journalism and storytelling
• Strong writing samples
• Good EQ and ability to work in fast-paced but friendly environment
• Ability to work cross-functionally and globally
• Excellent attention to detail and project management skills

Other helpful qualifications: 

• Experience with B2B marketing, especially SaaS models 
• Excellent writing and editing skills 
• Knowledge of corporate IT industry preferred
• Knowledge of cybersecurity is a bonus
