Contract: Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.

• Applicants for this role will be responsible for researching current and emerging threats that may impact Upwork
• This role will require strong collaboration skills to develop working relationships with stakeholders and to make recommendations based on analytical assessments
• Willingness to participate in the active development of threat intelligence products to key stakeholders, providing timely, actionable intelligence
• Engage with intelligence communities to curate and consume threat intelligence
• Applicants for this role will be required to maintain a current knowledge of security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations to continuously evaluate Upwork’s threat footprint
• Motivate Upwork organizations to adopt cybersecurity controls to reduce attack surface

• Strong written and verbal skills across all levels of the organization
• Familiarity with hacking tools, intelligence gathering, and threat frameworks
• Capable of working with diverse teams and promoting an enterprise-wide positive security culture
• Familiarity with technical threat intelligence solutions (TIP, SIEM, SOAR, EDR)
• Foundational understanding of intelligence and analytic tradecraft
