About the team & opportunity
Ontra is seeking a DevOps Engineer reporting to our DevOps Engineering Manager.
This role is a great opportunity for you to leverage your expertise in DevOps technologies and methodologies to drive innovation and streamline our software development lifecycle. What you'll do

• Containerize: Use Kubernetes and Docker to create, manage, and scale containerized applications
• Monitor: Implement and manage monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog and Prometheus to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure
• Version Control: Manage GitLab and implement branching strategies and code reviews to ensure code quality
• Gather information: Gather and analyze requirements from various stakeholders to define infrastructure and deployment needs.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure and processes to ensure that team members can understand and reproduce the environment as needed

What you'll bring

• CI/CD Experience: 4+ years setting up and maintaining tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or GitLab CI/C
• IaC: 4+ years of experience using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Programming: 4+ years using programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, and/or Javascript
• Cloud Services: 4+ years of experience provisioning, configuring, and optimizing cloud resources (we use AWS)
• Collaboration: A background in working with cross-functional teams to facilitate an efficient software delivery pipeline and align on projects and goals

Ontra publishes salary ranges on our salary board here: https://bit.ly/3UjAOE3, which currently includes estimated annual cash salary ranges for candidates based in Colorado and New York City, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Ontra leverages current market data to determine compensation, so posted figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
Ontra factors in your location when benchmarking compensation for most roles. If you are not located in Colorado or New York City and have been selected to participate in our interview process, we encourage you to speak with your recruiter about compensation for the role during an initial conversation.
In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Ontra offers includes unit-based compensation (if applicable). Certain roles in our sales and account management departments may also be eligible to receive variable compensation or commission.
