Job Summary: The Director, Total Rewards will lead the broad-based, incentive compensation and global benefit programs and policies that enable innovative solutions that increase the effectiveness of global teams and support Neogen’s strategy and culture. This key leadership role will work collaboratively across the Total Rewards, Human Resources and with key leaders across the company to develop market competitive programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team. Collaborate with other functions to assure exceptional processes that provide processes that support and motivate employees and their teams.
- Partner to create and execute a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Build strong partnerships with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to understand competitive pay concerns within the organizations and teams. Implement and oversee global job architecture platform.
- Oversee and manage leadership programs and vendors such as equity, employee stock purchase and deferred compensation plans, other perquisites.
- Oversee and manage annual compensation planning including merit, incentives and equity planning through Workday platform. Lead the communication and administration of plan throughout the cycles.
- Provide support for the annual proxy including CD&A and Pay vs. Performance tables and CEO Pay Ratio analysis.
- Supports Compensation & Talent Management Committee topics, analysis and presentations.
- Establish, communicate and administer broad-based compensation processes and programs.
- Understand and leverage industry best practices to develop exceptional compensation strategies and plans that support a culture of innovation.
Desired Skills:
- Expert understanding of compensation programs, policies and strategies to support the Neogen strategies.
- Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle compensation programs for a global organization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams and external partners).
- Analytical mindset, and critical thinking abilities.
- A thorough understanding of state and federal legal requirements and legislation; keeps abreast of changing legal landscape assuring Neogen updates policies and practices accordingly.
- Exceptional knowledge of MS suite of programs (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint); Workday experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required; CCP preferred.
- 10+ years professional experience in Compensation for a global organization; Executive Compensation and Benefits preferred.
- Experience enabling and leading a team of compensation professionals.
- In-depth understanding of the Compensation function and related business concepts, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Compensation technology (Workday HCM) with experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing integrated solutions across an enterprise.
