Director, Web Marketing

At Motive, the marketing team is responsible for maximizing growth and new customer acquisition across all that we do. The responsibilities of the team span the entire customer journey - from first touchpoint to upsell and retention. We put the user first - ensuring we are delivering on our core value proposition and putting the right message in the right moment. 

As a director of web experience and strategy, you’ll lead our entire web strategy, helping to create web experiences that resonate for prospects and customers. You’ll lead the cross functional working group including design, PMM, engineering, and operations dedicated to make the website as great as it can be. You’ll also lead our CRO and SEO practice online. 

This role is remote and based in the US.

As a bonus, you’ll be able to embed yourself deep in the world of the physical economy and help understand the forces that govern it.

• Drive long term web strategy, using best in class UI/UX approaches that maximize performance and user experience
• Lead our entire web experience team including ownership of CRO, SEO, web strategy, and web production
• Establish a website governance process that enables the web team to stay organized and keep up with fast paced business requirements, ensuring stability and scalability
• Be the single directly responsible individual for our entire web experience at Motive, working cross functionally with design, engineering, product marketing, and others
• Partner with marketing analytics to understand impacts of changes and continually refine the user experience 
• Provide vision and strategy on our tech needs for our site - including tools like CMS, web personalization, etc. 
• Oversee all our SEO and CRO work to maximize results on our website

• 10+ years of experience with web, both as an individual contributor and as a manager 
• 4+ years of experience with developers and designers 
• 4+ years as a manager of talent, with a proven ability to mentor, attract and retain talent
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or similar field, focused experience or education in areas like analytics, consulting, data science, and statistics.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to create, work and summarize large data sets into clear insights that inform decisions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, demonstrated experience briefing senior leaders on outcomes & recommendations, and an interest in teaching others
