Summary: The Fraud Intelligence Strategist will play a vital role in the Fraud and Risk Management Department by helping the director modernize the Fraud and Risk program from a technological, strategic, and operational standpoint. This person will also handle high-level objectives focusing on optimization, efficiency, and effectiveness, including using advanced insights to build broader proactive defenses of Fraud and Risk related vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the systemic environment of the entire fraud organization.
- Perform in-depth analysis of a newly crafted strategy to ensure efficient performance.
- Conduct monthly reviews of all strategies in the Onbe Environment, to provide objective performance evaluation.
- Make recommendations for strategy optimizations and removals.
- Evaluate current and new features in our technology stack to improve overall production, performance, and success of the department.
- Conduct Monthly QA for the department to evaluate team member's actions.
- Research industry-wide trends and implement preventative measures to defend against emerging trends.
- Conduct false positive analysis for the environment to reduce customer friction.
- Create new models for fraud strategy in low, medium, and high-risk populations.
- Perform regular model calibrations to ensure the effectiveness of the existing fraud strategy.
- Evaluate current communication practices to identify failures and successes.
- Produce reporting for confirmed fraud, which can be used for process optimizations.
- Automate enterprise-level processes by using Microsoft Power Automate, VBA, and scheduled scripting.
- Build automation by leveraging Power Automate to reduce manual and mundane tasks.
- Look for opportunities enterprise-wide to optimize and reduce need for additional resources.
- Explore unresearched abilities of our current technology stack and leverage the data to better performance.
- Model calibration and optimization through Python.
- Discovery and implementation of AI-focused resources to modernize existing practices.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of fraud mitigation experience.
- Or 2 years of development experience with RPA/Power Automate
- Bachelors Degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and Word.
- Strong experience using data mining tools (SQL/Snowflake preferred).
- 2+ years writing complex fraud strategies (Preferred Defense Edge/SecurLock).
The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $ 95,580 to $106,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand. This position can be office-based, hybrid, or fully remote in the continental United States. Onbeβs employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago. Some periodic travel will be required.
