Head of Corporate Development - United States

Cornerstone OnDemand is seeking a dynamic AVP of Corporate Development to spearhead strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, enhance customer experiences, and strengthen our mission of workforce agility. Reporting to the COO/CFO, this is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and strategic growth, where your expertise in corporate development will leave a lasting impact on the company.

In this role, you will...

• Identify and target high-impact acquisition opportunities that align with our mission and financial goals.
• Lead due diligence efforts to evaluate potential acquisitions.
• Execute complex transactions.
• Lead the integration team responsible for ensuring seamless post-deal execution.
• Collaborate across teams to identify synergies and develop integration strategies that maximize value creation.
• Drive innovation in deal structuring and execution to achieve scalable and repeatable success.
• Partner with leadership and our financial sponsor to define and refine our corporate development strategy.
• Communicate outcomes and insights to key stakeholders, showcasing the impact of acquisitions and integrations.
• Support sell-side initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder communications and aligning internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Champion a culture of excellence and agility that empowers our team and our customers.

• 10+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or similar experience within a fast-paced environment.
• A proven track record of executing complex transactions, including managing intricate integration processes.
• Expertise in both buy-side and sell-side deal strategies, ideally in a private equity-backed environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing team.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions and levels.
• A deep understanding of the SaaS industry is key, and familiarity with the HCM market is a plus.
