Responsibilities

The People Intern supports the People team with employee-focused activities and collaborates with others to provide day-to-day People services. The People Intern will learn on the job by working closely with the People Program Manager and People Business Partners in the Western US.

The primary job responsibilities for the People Intern include: 

  • Support e-file maintenance and assist with employee file projects

  • Review incoming comp plans for accuracy against HRIS and sign off or escalate discrepancies, save to e-files

  • Draft employment verification letters and route for signatures

  • Assist with tracking and communicating compliance around training requirements and follow up with employees to ensure completion.

  • Verify completion of all new hire documentation

  • Complete new hire I9 verifications by day 3 of employment, process through e-verify

  • Assign Time Off and Sick Leave policies to employee in HRIS

  • Monitor US HR Helpdesk and create tickets for GPops team to support 

  • Build relationships and trust with fellow employees

  • Maintain strict confidentiality to ensure confidence in the organization and the human resources function

RequirementsQualifications / Experience / Skills
  • College student, or recent college graduate

  • 1 to 3 years of work experience

  • Proficient in G Suite and familiar with various types of apps, systems, databases, systems savvy

  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical with a curiosity to problem-solve
