Job Summary
The Manager of End User Computing is responsible for ensuring the streamlined operations of assigned functions in accordance with IT leadership and IT governance. This position will oversee daily operations and provide direction for the Citrix, and desktop engineering teams. This position will also be expected to work with various teams across the organization to deliver quality, cost-effective, reliable delivery solutions to endpoints across multiple platforms.
Essential Job Functions
- Manages overall work performed by the Citrix and Desktop Engineering teams during their assigned shifts
- Proactively communicates customer service issues to leadership
- Identifies resource needs and assigns individual responsibilities.
- Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
- Supports a culture of quality and accountability by ensuring the team follows documented procedures
- Manages day-to-day aspects of staffing needs.
Employment Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Engineering
- Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and included components
- Working knowledge of Virtualization platforms – Server & Desktop
- Working knowledge of PowerShell, User/Kernel Dump analysis, Network protocol & packet analysis
- Working knowledge of Citrix concepts and components
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS servers and infrastructure components
- Working knowledge of server hardware platforms and Windows server operating systems
- Working knowledge and understanding of server backup and recovery methodologies/technologies
- Knowledge of storage system configurations
- Server Patch Management and Antivirus methodologies and best practices
- Experience in large heterogeneous (1000+ Server) environments
Required Minimum Education
- BA/BS in a related field and 7 years of related experience.
- 4+ years of people management experience
