Owner/Operator needed for Dedicated Line-Haul, Melrose Park, IL to Montpelier, OH

,Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver for a run starting in Melrose Park, IL, to Montpelier, OH, and returning to Melrose Park. This would depart Melrose at between 8 - 9 pm, Monday - Friday. Drop and hook in Montpelier and drop trailer back in Melrose Park. Approximate miles 414 per day. Hazmat and tanker endorsements are required. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while managing your vehicle. Responsibilities • Operate your tractor and our company owned trailers to transport freight. • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency. • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. • Provide exceptional customer service to clients during the delivery process. Skills • Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations. • Familiarity with various types of freight transportation. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road. • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
