As an affiliate of Envoy Global, Global Immigration Associates, P.C. is a medium-sized independent Law Firm based in Chicago, Illinois focusing on employment-based visas for companies, their foreign national employees and candidates, and their families. We work exclusively with the customers of Envoy Global (www.envoyglobal.com) using its best-in-breed technology platform.
With our GIA team now expanding, and we're looking for experienced, and empathetic Business Immigration Paralegals (with a focus on NIV and IV US visas) to join our team on a permanent, full time basis.
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing immigrant and non-immigrant visa cases for major corporations and individuals on Envoy's patented, online platform
  • Reviewing and proofreading complex evidence and documents for client cases
  • Tracking, monitoring, and logging evidence and documents for client cases
  • Creating, compiling, and preparing documentation for case filings
  • Finalizing government-ready case filings for final Attorney review
  • Drafting and editing client Letters of Support for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS); and Department of Labor (DOL)
  • Proactively researching new legislation and legal changes within US immigration law
  • Prioritizing multiple responsibilities and deadlines for client cases
  • Performing administrative and clerical duties as necessary

To be eligible to APPLY, you will naturally possess the following:
  • 1+ years of employment based US visa experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or University preferred - or a paralegal certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent english grammar and spelling
  • Strong attention to detail, with outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong client focus
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Outlook, and document/case management systems
  • An ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time at a computer workstation (use a computer and a monitor, and lift up to 25lbs in case materials, as required)
