Dropbox Studios will be collaborative spaces where employees gather for in-person team meetings, large group events, and community building. Â These spaces will be instrumental in how we drive community and culture every day in our Virtual First experience.
The Physical Security Operations Manager proactively manages security threats to Dropbox as well as develops and maintains processes and solutions to mitigate or respond to those risks. This role will work closely with internal Dropbox security teams, partner with cross-functional key stakeholders as well as external agencies to ensure that Dropbox has a security posture to appropriately address the health, safety and security risks that are identified to the company.Â
This role will lead the people and functions that make up the Physical Security & Safety team, to include the Global Security Operations Center, Guard Services and Badge Operations, and will report to the Head of Physical Security and Safety. Â
Team Management
- Oversee the general Physical Security Operations of guard services globally & all contracted security personnel
- Manage and oversee the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)
- Assist with the rollout, implementation and integration between Everbridge and Dataminr/International SOS to assist with Duty of Care notifications to Dropboxers as well as Emergency response notifications
- Take a leading contributory role in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, management systems, and procedures for the improvement of the Physical Security team
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are being met on a quarterly basis by the contracted guard services team
- Drive global Physical Security & Safety personnel vendor procurement, contract negotiations and performance management; including but not limited to defining SLAs, KPIs and QBR processes
Operations
- Assist with collaboration between cross functional partners to anticipate, identify and evaluate opportunities that carry a significant risk to Dropboxers, guests, and assets
- Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across the REWS team by communicating goals, wins and opportunities to maximize safe and secure work environments
- Studio Operations
- Act as a Physical Security liaison for subtenants including developing a playbook for onboarding new subtenants
- Consult and make recommendations on the Physical Security systems and controls, including cameras, access control, visitor systems, etc.
- Participate in or lead investigations
- Parking Management
- Vendor/Subtenant Management
- Event Security
- Plan, coordinate, and execute event security globally including both onsite and offsite events.
- Develop security/risk guidelines for offsite venues
- Conduct site security assessments
- Assist with executive protection
- Travel SafetyÂ
- Support international employee traveling programs and employee notification system
- Assist Project Manager with Emergency Preparedness / Safety Champion program
- 5+ years operational experience in security planning and operational execution (exposure to international locations preferred)
- Responsibilities include: Â Distributed team management, strategic budget planning, vendor management and client/customer relations
- Strong working knowledge of physical security and risk assessment methodologies for a remote and distributed workforce, including threat assessments of locations, buildings, and personnel
- Adept to staff, budget and project planning management
- Ability to lead, develop and grow team members and functions of a geographically distributed team
- Must possess strong leadership, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Superb communication, organization, and written skills in a global and multi-cultural and multi-generational environment
- Exposure to Health & Safety regulatory requirements
- Proven objective analysis and problem solving skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to think strategically and deliver programs and services in an operationally pragmatic manner
- Enthusiasm for solving unique and complex security challenges and implementing creative cost-effective solutions
- Ability to manage security challenges in a ever-changing fast paced environment
- Must have the skills set and qualities of being empathic and have a natural passion for delivering exceptional service
- Must possess the ability to foster and be a steward of a culture of trust, honesty and integrity
Total Rewards
For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $85,000 - $100,000 - $115,000.
This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity.Â
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
