This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal, Commercial Life Sciences Solutions based in the United States.

This is a senior, customer-facing solutioning role at the intersection of life sciences strategy, healthcare data, and commercial transformation. You will act as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical and biotech clients, helping them design and adopt advanced data connectivity solutions that power commercial analytics, market access, medical affairs, and real-world evidence generation. The role blends deep domain expertise with strategic pre-sales leadership, requiring you to translate complex business challenges into scalable, privacy-preserving data solutions. You will partner closely with sales, product, privacy, and delivery teams to shape enterprise opportunities and drive revenue growth. Operating in high-impact customer engagements, you will guide executive stakeholders through the value and feasibility of connected health data ecosystems. This is a pivotal role in shaping how life sciences organizations activate data to improve patient and market outcomes.

Accountabilities:

You will serve as a senior subject matter expert and strategic partner to commercial life sciences customers, guiding solution design, opportunity shaping, and enterprise-level engagements.

  • Act as a senior commercial pharma expert supporting pre-sales solutioning, customer discovery, and strategic opportunity development.
  • Partner with sales and consulting teams to shape enterprise conversations across commercial analytics, market access, patient services, and omnichannel use cases.
  • Lead deep discovery sessions with pharmaceutical stakeholders to understand objectives, data assets, constraints, and success criteria.
  • Translate business needs into solution architectures leveraging privacy-preserving data linkage, tokenization, and real-world data connectivity.
  • Design and communicate end-to-end solution strategies for use cases such as patient journey analytics, launch planning, adherence insights, and media activation.
  • Develop executive-ready narratives that clearly articulate business value, feasibility, privacy considerations, and implementation pathways.
  • Support complex enterprise deals by shaping proposals, defining solution hypotheses, identifying risks, and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with product and partnerships teams to surface market needs and inform scalable solution development.
  • Create reusable go-to-market assets including playbooks, discovery frameworks, case studies, and sales enablement materials.
  • Represent the organization in executive workshops, customer briefings, and industry forums as a thought leader in life sciences data strategy.
  • Requirements:

    This role requires extensive experience in life sciences commercial strategy and a strong ability to bridge business, technical, and data-driven domains.

    • 10+ years of experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical commercial strategy, analytics, market access, healthcare data, or related fields.
    • Deep understanding of biopharma commercial organizations and how data supports brand strategy, patient services, HEOR, and medical affairs.
    • Proven experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, strategic advisory, or enterprise partnership roles with pharma/biotech clients.
    • Strong knowledge of real-world data ecosystems, including claims, EHR, specialty pharmacy, patient services, and digital engagement data.
    • Ability to translate complex technical and privacy concepts into clear, actionable business narratives for executive audiences.
    • Strong consultative selling skills with experience shaping enterprise deals and influencing senior stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities in high-stakes environments.
    • Proficiency with productivity and CRM tools such as Google Workspace and Salesforce.
    • Self-directed and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly collaborative settings.
    • Willingness and ability to travel for client engagements, workshops, and industry events.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary range: $193,000 – $242,000 USD, plus eligible variable compensation
