Job Summary:

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who has experience managing a product or products throughout the entire lifecycle, from inception to market launch and beyond. You would be expected to participate in the definition of the product’s strategy, be customer and problem obsessed, be innovative in iterating on potential solutions and collaborate across the product portfolio. 

We are looking for someone who loves working with product, design, and technology teams while interacting early and often with customers and other stakeholders. The Principal Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our product strategy, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product development best practices, be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and be passionate about delivering innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in executive-level discussions and decisions, representing the voice of the product and customer
  • Lead the development and execution of long-term product strategy that aligns with the company’s overall vision and goals
  • Has a deep understanding of the product landscape and engages in sharing industry insights, best practices, and innovative strategies
  • Collaborate to implement a design thinking framework and strategy across departments and teams
  • Continuously improve the product management process and Agile methodologies used by the team
  • Become an expert in the product market, be problem obsessed, and ruthlessly advocate for customer’s unmet needs with stakeholders
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements using data-driven metrics and align with business initiatives
  • Define and prioritize product requirements based on market trends, customer feedback, and business objectives
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap and ensure that it aligns with business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including development, UI/UX design, marketing, and sales) to ensure that product requirements are understood and delivered
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and customers, and ensure that their feedback is incorporated into the product development process
  • Create content for product marketing such as intro videos for new features/products, how-to articles, user guides, and product update material intended for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret North Star metrics, leading indicators, and market trends to recommend plans of action
  • Owning the delivery of a 0-1 MVP product to market and iterating on the evolution of the solution

Desired Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years experience in education technology, product operations or program management; experience in K-12 EdTech a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in leading matrixed teams, interacting with customers and partners and launching new innovative solutions
  • Domain knowledge experience
  • Utilizes market data, user data, and analytics to drive product roadmap
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in juggling multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Experience in curriculum products and market highly desirable
