Procurement Coordinator

We’re looking for an organized and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator who is seeking a challenging position in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will work closely with the Category Managers and Sourcing Team to streamline product onboarding processes, maintain our product database, and assist with vendor management and communications. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and time management skills, can juggle multiple projects at once, and is able to effectively improve upon existing processes and implement new ones. Some experience or genuine interest in food is preferred. 

You will be joining an Operations team responsible for our sourcing, supply chain, culinary and customer care functions. As part of a highly cross-functional role/team, you will have great exposure into sourcing, supply chain, and the greater operations umbrella. 

• Update and maintain product master, ensuring all product and vendor information is up to date
• Run weekly and monthly reports related to product and recipe metrics that are shared with Category Managers and broader Sourcing Team
• Support Category Leads and Sourcing Team with day to day tasks including product research, vendor follow-up and additional critical support tasks
• Work closely with new vendors to submit onboarding paperwork in a timely manner, verify that setup information is complete and accurate, and assist with other onboarding responsibilities
• Support product launches on the Hungryroot website by setting up new products in the database and managing the asset + copy upload process
• Manage samples, including placing sample requests with existing vendors, tracking samples, participating in in-office sampling, and working closely with Photo Team to coordinate photography samples
• Participate in regular new product onboarding meetings with the Sourcing and Culinary Teams
• Collect and organize information for new private label projects, help manage timelines and workflow
• Implement new tools and/or processes to streamline overall onboarding process, including making it easier for new vendors to submit items for review and required paperwork once approved
• Collaborate with marketing on product updates including new product launches

• 2-3 years of supply chain or procurement experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred
• Food industry experience strongly preferred
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate level in Excel and Google Sheets, (and an ability to learn other systems quickly - Airtable, Netsuite ERP, NetSuite WMS)
• Detail-oriented and able to meet timelines
• Willingness to dive in with a no-task-is-too-small attitude
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work both independently and in team settings
