Product Manager, Authentication and Identity

ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton Platform team is seeking a motivated Technical Product Manager -  Authentication and Identity help create the most delightful login and account management experiences for our members across all Peloton products (Bike, Tred, Rower, App, Web, etc.) while keeping our customer data secure and delivering frictionless integration pathways for our partners. At Peloton, we treat our Platform as a Product. We treat Peloton engineers as members and we leverage research, insights, and regular feedback to continuously improve our APIs, developer tools, and infrastructure we provide to the rest of the software community at Peloton. As the product manager with the User Platform team, you will represent the voice of our members - both external (Peloton members) and internal (Peloton developers). You will gain in-depth knowledge of the members’ needs. You will partner with other product managers, data scientists, engineers, and program managers across Peloton to build and deliver best in class APIs and end-user experiences that enable members to identify, authorize, access, and secure their data across the entire platform. This is one of the most crucial pieces of the Peloton ecosystem!

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Cultivate a deep understanding of Peloton members’ needs as well as industry trends, and advocate for identity and authentication solutions that improve user experience while enhancing security
• Define, track, and improve metrics that provide insight into user experience and friction in the authentication and identity space
• Provide leadership to the team by setting priorities and providing a strategic and tactical vision for the team
• Develop and implement near and long-term roadmap that will deliver incremental business value
• Empower the team to deliver the roadmap that balances feature development with long term scaling

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• 5+ years of experience in the Technology industry, ideally including 2-3 years of hands-on engineering and 2-3 years of product or program management experience.
• Experience within the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) space
• Experience delivering roadmaps, product overviews, reports, backlog and documentation
• A solid understanding of software development methodologies and practices (SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to senior management and members
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

BONUS POINTS

• Familiarity with IAM Vendor technologies like ForgeRock, Okta, Auth0, Ping etc
• Experience with a multi-platform ecosystem (iOS, Android, Web, smart TVs, web, etc)
• Hands on software development experience
• Experience modernizing and refactoring legacy systems

Base Salary:

$136,300 to $177,300 This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY - based position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
