Job Description

Our growing Product Team is looking for a humble and hungry Product Owner to help lead our Analytics, DataLake, and Reporting experiences. These products provide invaluable insight and actionable information for finance, project management, and leadership users of our feature-rich and open Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform.
You will contribute to the strategic vision and own the delivery of our analytics and reporting solutions. With over 3,500 customers and a robust partner network, your actions and contributions will have far-reaching impacts on our project-based ERP software offering.
What You'll Do
  • Develop a deep understanding of user personas across business lines; leverage the same to be the sounding board for internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Collaborate and contribute to building and updating our product roadmap for analytics, reporting, and DataLake
  • Partner with numerous stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute our roadmap, including sprint planning and objective prioritization of features and issues
  • Become a Unanet go-to product expert; guide your scrum team in troubleshooting production-escalation issues with your team leadership skills; train internal and external customers on new product features, capabilities, data objects, and integrations
  • Set your engineering team up for success in sprint activities, providing them with relevant user stories and guiding them in estimation
  • Reduce friction in our Agile processes when the situation calls for adjustments or changes in both the sprint and the overall strategic plan

Your First 90 Days
In your First 30 Days, you will grow in your understanding of Unanet through the lens of our current product offerings. You will learn what is slated to be delivered over the coming two (2) quarters. With this knowledge, you will help clarify and realign existing requirements, writing epics and user stories as well as refining them with your team.
In your First 60 Days, you will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and help them understand our product direction and the reasoning behind it. You will understand the strategic direction of your product as well as related Unanet products and how they all work together. In partnership with our Product Management and User Experience (UX) teams, you will question, redefine, revalidate and solidify our roadmap deliverables based on your expertise and learnings.
In your First 90 Days, you will drive our release and Go-to-Market (GTM) plan for the Analytics product deliverables. You will use the Analytics product roadmap to make commitments, evaluate client suggestions, and define metrics for adoption and engagement. You will be the guiding light for your scrum teams, helping them execute on the committed product deliverables.
Who You Are
  • 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) software experience as a product owner or business analyst
  • Prior experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Prior experience working with analytics, data visualization, BI tooling, accounting, financials, government contracting (GovCon), or financial reporting
  • Strong ability to capture, detail, and explain market and technical requirements to one or more Scrum team(s)
  • Accountability and drive to deliver high-quality products, features, and customer experiences
  • Strategic mindset to contribute to a product strategy and align work on your products to deliver on intended outcomes
  • Disciplined and organized such that you can capably transition proof-of-concepts to production-ready features

Your Differentiators
  • Prior experience working with ERP financials and/or have an accounting background
  • Agile experience and/or certifications (e.g., Pragmatic Marketing, CSPO)
  • Demonstrable ability to understand and evaluate customer and end-user needs
  • Prior experience planning and supporting multi-functional web applications in production, with deploying new products or major functionality preferred
  • You're hungry and humble, confident you can drive building a best-in-class user experience
  • Bias for action and execution on both short- and long-term strategic product plans

The salary range for this opportunity is $90,000 - $105,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
