What you'll bring:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, successful professional experience in proposal technical writing
- Preferred BA/BS in grant writing, communications, or related field
- Experience with the proposal management process including RFP/proposal sourcing, reviewing, go/no-go, coordination of tasks for response, review of response, final check of response and response submission.
- Familiarity with public sector procurement and RFP process
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills
- Ability to manage time, schedules and delegate tasks to proposal writers
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, follow through on tasks, regularly communicate with various teams and colleagues, and make independent decisions for meeting deadlines and contributing to the company's goals
- Understanding of emerging proposal trends & technologies
What you'll do:
- Oversee the proposal life cycle from RFP review to submission
- Oversee and delegate work to proposal writers
- Gather and organize all required proposal artifacts and documents
- Conducting proactive research and managing request for proposals (RFPs)
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to create a proposal strategy that balances customer and channel priorities, with an eye towards securing new business
- Develop innovative approaches and deliverables to differentiate our proposals from the competition and make a winning first impression
- Provide value to each proposal being developed as a knowledgeable resource, strategic problem solver, and beneficial resource
- Complete other duties as assigned to meet company goals
