Senior Account Manager - Enterprise (f/m/d)
Job Description
As an Account Manager at Contentful, you will be instrumental in driving customer retention by managing the renewals and expansions with Contentful’s enterprise customer base. You will be proactively aligning with Accounts Executives and Customer Success on account plans and engaging with customers about their upcoming contract renewal, as well as, uncovering expansion and upsell opportunities and driving them through contract signature. You will help to ensure positive customer experiences and increased net renewal retention.Â
What to expect?Â
- Drive the renewal conversations to close with Contentful’s largest and most strategic logos.Â
- Confidently negotiate pricing and contract terms with procurement teams in the Fortune top 20.Â
- Close renewals on time and forecast them accurately to leadership weekly.
- Gain insight into customer goals and find expansion opportunities. Â
- Strategically package the solution and pricing that meets those goals. Prepare and present data and trends to customers on current usage of the Contentful platform.Â
- Drive customer conversations to uncover things like procurement timelines, budgets, and signatory processes for contracts.Â
- Manage several opportunities at once, and have a high level of throughput.Â
- Manage presentations to internal stakeholders, including forecasting and providing a summary of the progress made during the quarter
- Generate weekly reports for management utilizing internal tools like Salesforce.com
What you need to be successful
- College / University Degree highly preferred
- 4+ years of experience in a closing role; Renewals Management, Account Management or Account Executive experience
- Past history of meeting or exceeding quota goals
- Ability to think strategically about a customer’s goals and drive renewal and expansion opportunities through to close independentlyÂ
- Excellent oral and written communication skills: shows excellence in previous customer and internal engagements
- Can track and prioritize work based on deadlines
- Ability to build rapport with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Well-developed attention to detail and organization skills ie: follow processes, update the relevant systems diligently, and make suggestions on improvements where required
- Technical understanding and a keen interest in technology. Ability to communicate high-level technical concepts to customers.Â
