Job Overview

Reporting to the Chief Data and Digital Officer, this appointment will play a critical role in TE's future data strategy and value. The role will accelerate the impact of data @TE. The role will work closely with the foundational data and governance teams and will scale value delivery from data across our 10 business units, leveraging a hub and extended spoke model. Key responsibilities will include scaling data value broadly across the enterprise to drive top line growth, gross margin improvement, operating income improvement, and customer satisfaction. The role will also help move the TE Talent forward in data and digital while partnering with the Data Availability and Data Governance to ensure we have clear curated data. The leader will be a seasoned technologist with an ability to clearly articulate the vision for data within TE, build the foundation to unleash value from data and on-board our broader organization to achieve aggressive data-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accelerate the extraction of value from data across our businesses, with a focus on scaling solutions.
  • Demonstrate the impact of this scale against a P&L lens.
  • Continue to build the teams capabilities in the core data team and the satellite spokes in the business units and functions.
  • Partner with the overall TEIS and Data teams to evolve our overall Data Strategy

Profile

The ideal candidate will be a transformational leader at a large global enterprise. The individual will have a track record of delivering better data outcomes and will have a playbook for a complex matrix organization. Beyond excellent delivery skills, the ideal candidate will have a breadth of business acumen in a manufacturing company, across many of the core functions (marketing/sales, engineering, operations planning and execution, etc) In addition, this leader must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and be capable of working in a results-oriented business environment. This position requires strong influence skills, teamwork, organizational savvy, and an overall commitment to excellence. Ideally, this person has supported a highly complex business within a global LEAN manufacturing environment.

What Your Background Should Look Like

Must have's:

  • Understanding of and hands on experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Experience leading actionable insights initiatives leveraging with a variety of analytics techniques including machine learning, deep learning, NLP and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Understanding of databases and cloud technologies such as Oracle, SQL, AWS, Redshift, Hana, LLM, GPT.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quantify both potential and realized business value impact.
  • Transformational leader with process improvement knowledge and experience developing ongoing continuous improvements with quantifiable results in upgrading talent, processes, and systems.
  • Strong social/participative leadership style with the ability to listen to employees and customers, demonstrate flexibility while delivering consistent performance.
  • Ability to work across an organization, share success, and build a culture that embraces change and growth.

  • Proven experience and success delivering in a shared services operating model for global organizations
  • Experience leading IT transformations involving the implementation of new technologies, new service models and organizational redesign.
  • Comfortable making timely, business-oriented IT decisions in a rapidly changing environment where project priorities are often juggled based on business needs.
  • Possesses high levels of energy and persistence.
  • Hands-on technology leader, with broad exposure to infrastructure, operations, ERP, security and risk management, engineering systems, digital, PMO and architecture.

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $214,400 - $321,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
