Job description

Team: Finance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior FP&A Lead based in Canada.

This is a high-impact finance leadership role supporting founder-led consumer and retail businesses through periods of growth, transformation, and scale. You will act as a trusted analytical partner to senior executives, translating complex financial data into clear strategic insights that drive decision-making across multiple portfolio companies. The role blends hands-on financial modeling with executive-level advisory, requiring someone equally comfortable building models from scratch and presenting insights to CFOs, founders, and investors. You will own planning cycles, performance reporting, and deep-dive analysis across multiple engagements, helping leadership teams understand what drives margin, cash flow, and growth. This is a fast-paced, multi-client environment where precision, autonomy, and commercial thinking are essential. The position is ideal for a finance professional operating at or near a senior FP&A leadership level, with strong exposure to consumer-facing business models.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own financial planning, analysis, and reporting across multiple client engagements, ensuring leadership teams have accurate, timely, and actionable insights. You will serve as a key analytical partner to CFOs and operators, helping shape strategy through data-driven recommendations.

  • Own weekly and monthly financial reporting, ensuring KPI accuracy, consistency, and decision-ready insights across portfolio companies
  • Partner with accounting and controllership teams to validate financial data, reconciliations, and month-end reporting outputs
  • Build and maintain executive dashboards, board materials, and investor-ready financial reports
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles across multiple client organizations
  • Develop and maintain three-statement financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity models
  • Analyze unit economics, pricing, margins, COGS, and operational drivers to identify performance trends and risks
  • Support fundraising, M&A, and diligence processes through financial modeling, data rooms, and investor materials
  • Act as a strategic advisor to CFOs, founders, and senior operators across marketing, operations, and supply chain functions
  • Requirements:

You bring strong FP&A and corporate finance experience, with a proven ability to operate in complex, fast-moving environments. You are confident in financial modeling, stakeholder communication, and turning data into strategic insight.

    • 6–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial operations, or related roles
    • Advanced financial modeling expertise, including three-statement models, forecasting, and scenario planning
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles including revenue recognition, accruals, and inventory accounting
    • Experience in consumer, retail, CPG, DTC, or other product-based business models
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs across several stakeholders
    • Strong executive communication skills with experience working alongside CFOs, founders, or investors
    • Comfort operating independently in fast-paced, multi-client or consulting-style environments
    • Experience with financial systems and tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms is an asset
    • Benefits:

      • Access to a $200K+ perk marketplace with discounts across 150+ global services
      • Option to access up to 50% of approved earnings before payday
      • Remote-first work environment with flexible structure
      • Exposure to high-growth consumer and retail brands across North America
      • High autonomy with direct impact on executive decision-making
      • Opportunity to work closely with experienced finance leaders and operators.
