Senior Frontend Engineer - Grafana Incident Management

This is a remote position. We are looking for candidates in the United Kingdom only.

What we do

We’re part of the IRM solutions that aim to make it easy to detect respond and learn from incidents with minimal effort. We’re responsible for the Grafana OSS Oncall and Cloud offerings and collaborate closely with the IRM mobile app and Grafana Incident.

We’re a cross-functional team and we work closely with Product and Design to define our goals and build our solutions. We embrace experimentation lean principles and encourage everyone to share their ideas and perspectives.

• You are comfortable working in a remote-first company and understand the importance of communication

• You have solid experience as a Software Engineer and feel comfortable working with React Typescrip t and ideally RxJS.

• You know how to transform ideas into working code – you are able to design a solution get feedback and write a prototype by yourself.

• You enjoy working on complex solutions – Grafana is a highly technological solution and has avid followers who rely on it every day and care deeply about their workflows.

• You care and value code maintainability readability and testing.

• You understand the implications of technical decisions how they’ll affect the codebase and the team.

What we use

The purpose of this section is to give a sampling of the technologies that are currently in use by this squad (and the projects with which we interact). Experience with the entirety of these technologies should not be seen as a requirement. It is more important to recognize the purpose of these tools and possess the experience / ability to learn how to apply (or interact with) them effectively where appropriate.

• We work with React as our framework Typescript and Mobx

• CSS modules and CSS custom properties is our choice when it comes to styling

• We use Prettier Eslint and Stylelint to automate code styling

• We use Plop ('micro-generator framework.')  for scaffolding

• Webpack is our current bundler

In the United Kingdom the Base compensation range for this role is GBP 96124 - GBP 115349.  Actual compensation may vary based on level experience and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed here .
