This is a high-impact analytics role within a fast-moving risk organization focused on optimizing credit performance, fraud mitigation, and collections strategy. You will leverage advanced data analytics to improve repayment outcomes, reduce losses, and enhance customer engagement across key portfolio segments. Working at the intersection of risk strategy, data science, and business operations, you will drive insights that directly influence financial performance and customer lifecycle decisions. The role offers end-to-end ownership of complex analytics initiatives, from experimentation and A/B testing to performance monitoring and strategic recommendations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including risk, product, operations, and vendor partners, in a highly data-driven and test-and-learn environment. This is an opportunity to shape scalable risk strategies while working in a collaborative, high-growth setting where your insights have direct business impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead analytics initiatives focused on improving repayment rates, optimizing collections strategies, and reducing credit risk exposure
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and experiments to evaluate and improve risk and repayment strategies
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor key risk, fraud, and collections performance metrics
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks through proactive data analysis and ongoing portfolio monitoring
  • Optimize external collections and debt recovery strategies in partnership with agency and vendor stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-visibility risk and business initiatives
  • Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to improve portfolio performance and customer outcomes
  • Own end-to-end analytics workstreams with strong accountability for data quality, execution, and impact
  • Support the development of scalable insights capabilities for risk governance and decision-making
  • Continuously refine analytical approaches using advanced techniques and modern tooling

  • Requirements:

    • 3–5+ years of experience in credit risk, fraud risk, collections, or financial services analytics roles
    • Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced level required) and solid experience working with large datasets
    • Experience with Python or PySpark for data analysis is strongly preferred
    • Background in risk or data analytics within lending, fintech, banking, or financial services environments
    • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
    • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive data-backed decision-making
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
    • Self-starter with strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative, test-and-learn environments
    • Growth mindset with curiosity around AI tools and automation to improve analytics workflows

    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary ranging from $108,000 to $120,000 USD (based on experience and location)
      • Performance-based bonus and incentive opportunities
      • Flexible remote-first work culture with optional in-office presence in Manhattan
      • Unlimited paid time off (PTO)
      • Generous parental leave and family support policies
      • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (including fully covered options)
      • Learning and wellness stipend to support personal and professional growth
      • Equity participation and long-term incentive opportunities (where applicable)
      • Inclusive and flexible work environment with strong emphasis on work-life balance
