Senior Software Engineer - Financial Transactions and Operations

This role sits at the core of a high-scale financial operations platform, where precision, reliability, and auditability of every transaction are critical. You will help design and build systems that ensure end-to-end integrity of financial claim flows, making sure every transaction is accurate, traceable, and compliant. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will contribute to the evolution of scalable backend services and data-heavy systems that power mission-critical workflows. The role blends strong full-stack engineering with deep focus on financial data correctness, performance, and observability. You will partner closely with product and engineering peers to solve complex transactional challenges in a fast-paced, agile setting. • Design, build, and maintain scalable systems supporting end-to-end financial transaction lifecycle management, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness
• Develop and enhance APIs, backend services, and data workflows that support financial operations and claim processing
• Ensure strong data integrity by designing robust database schemas and optimizing relational queries for performance and reliability
• Improve system scalability and performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing technical solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering to deliver high-quality features and platform improvements
• Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
• Participate in agile ceremonies and support iterative development, testing, and deployment cycles

Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience in production environments
• Strong experience designing and building APIs and backend systems
• Solid understanding of relational databases, including schema design and query optimization
• Experience working with scalable distributed systems and server-side performance considerations
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails (preferred) or similar technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system behaviors and debug production issues
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional agile teams and manage multiple priorities
