The Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager - New Business Development (Digital Wallets) is responsible for identifying, developing and finalizing new one-to-many partnership opportunities with some of the largest technology companies in the world, with the goal of growing Affirm's networks exponentially. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience negotiating agreements and leading sophisticated partnerships with internal and external partners, as well as deep knowledge and experience in FinTech, commerce and payments. What You'll Do

• Independently develop, negotiate and lead new, enterprise-level digital wallet partnerships in order to exponentially scale Affirm's merchant and consumer networks.
• Identify new business development opportunities with large technology platforms like Apple, Google, Facebook and Amazon.
• Lead the development of and execution of Affirm's comprehensive digital wallet partnership strategy, in collaboration with product, strategy, finance and other key internal partners.
• Work cross-functionally to solicit input and drive alignment with key internal partners (e.g., product, engineering, and legal) on the construct and terms of the partnership, as well as the associated business justifications.
• Clearly and succinctly summarize sophisticated concepts to share and present with executive leadership.
• Cultivate relationships with leaders and innovators in commerce, payments and FinTech so that you can be aware of the latest trends and opportunities.
• Act as a subject matter authority and leader who evangelizes new and innovative concepts within Affirm.

What We Look For

• 9+ years of work experience. 6+ years of validated experience in Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Development, Product or related fields
• Deep familiarity with the payments and digital wallet landscape, particularly with expertise in issuing and tokenization of card credentials
• Ability to think strategically about all areas of a potential partnership to find all sources of value to the parties
• Intellectual integrity to say no to a deal that doesn't make sense AND resilience to complete the deals that do drive sufficient value
• A strong sense of ownership, drive and solution-mindedness, as well as the ability to thrive in ambiguity
• Excellent negotiation and contracting skills that can drive comprehensive value across the company
• Excellent project management skills, with the validated ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to drive alignment and lead internal and external partners to drive execution
• Strong executive presence and validated ability to build C-suite relationships and navigate complex, external organizations to identify internal champions and to influence decision makers
• Strong collaborator who can establish relationships across the organization
• Excellent teammate with intent to influence, build and maintain a positive team culture
• Strong product mentality with the ability and desire to get in the weeds
• Ability to balance many impactful initiatives at any given time and to prioritize efficiently and effectively with complete autonomy
