This strategic, customer-facing role is ideal for a healthcare reimbursement expert passionate about improving patient access and supporting providers through complex reimbursement landscapes. You will lead initiatives focused on coding, coverage, payment, and payer policy education for advanced medical technologies used in cardiovascular and structural heart procedures. Working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and clinical teams, you will help healthcare organizations navigate reimbursement challenges and optimize adoption of innovative therapies. The position combines training leadership, stakeholder engagement, and operational strategy in a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment. With nationwide impact and regular interaction with providers and healthcare systems, this role offers the opportunity to shape customer success while driving meaningful healthcare outcomes. The role is field-based and supports a dynamic portfolio of cutting-edge interventional technologies.
Accountabilities:
- Lead reimbursement education initiatives focused on coding, billing, payer policy, and healthcare economics for advanced medical device solutions
- Build strong relationships with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, office-based labs, and healthcare providers to support reimbursement strategy and adoption
- Partner with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, and medical education teams to align customer support initiatives with business objectives
- Support customers throughout the full engagement lifecycle, from product evaluation and clinical studies to onboarding and long-term account success
- Deliver training programs and strategic guidance to help customers navigate reimbursement challenges and improve operational outcomes
- Contribute to procedural support across coronary, peripheral vascular, CIED, and structural heart intervention portfolios
- Develop proactive work plans, influence cross-functional alignment, and respond effectively to evolving customer and business needs
- Provide insights through reimbursement analysis, policy interpretation, and healthcare economic evaluation to support informed decision-making
- 10+ years of experience in reimbursement field training within the medical device industry
- 5+ years of experience working with cardiovascular, coronary, or peripheral vascular products
- Strong expertise in U.S. healthcare reimbursement systems, including coding, billing, Medicare, and commercial payer processes
- Deep understanding of hospital systems, reimbursement methodologies, healthcare economics, and policy frameworks
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field
- CPC or COC certification preferred
- Proven ability to train and support medical device sales teams and healthcare providers effectively
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting reimbursement and economic data
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role and travel up to 25% as needed
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment
