Tax Intern (Summer 2023)

Dropbox Tax is looking to welcome a Tax Intern for Summer 2023.  If you are interested in learning about the in-house Tax experience and want to join a fast-paced, dynamic multinational tech company where you will gain experience in a wide range of tax disciplines, this summer internship is for you!  In this internship, you’ll work with Tax team members on a wide array of projects, including the preparation and timely filing of tax returns, other compliance and research assignments, data and financial analysis to support tax accounting, transfer pricing and tax controversy projects.

Our ideal candidate brings passion for all things Tax, is hands-on, analytical and enthusiastic, nd has strong communication, project management,  and collaboration skills. 

• Perform tax compliance and reporting tasks, such as gather, prepare, reconcile and analyze data and forms, perform calculations and materials, prepare, review and/or file tax returns
• Research tax legislation 
• Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and perform flux analyses
• Track projects, timelines, and commitments on projects and deliverables
• Assist with ad hoc projects, as needed
• Tax internship will provide students the opportunity to gain hands-on tax experience, as well as own delivery of a project end-to-end

• Progress towards Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics and/or a related field - expected graduation date (December 2023 - June 2024)
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, teaming skills
• Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities
• Strong analytical skills, ability to dive deep into unfamiliar data
• Experience with Excel
• Energetic self-starter with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment - independently and as part of of a team
• Responsive and collaborative team player with ability to work effectively and partner well with people at all levels and all functions 
• Follow instructions, but exhibit creativity and common sense
• Thrives in Virtual First environment as well as with in-person collaboration
