About the job:
Upside is growing and in search of a proven sales executive to lead our Restaurant sales effort with a focus on acquiring new enterprise clients. The enterprise sales team under our Restaurant Vertical adds brands, large franchise groups, and critical, revenue-generating restaurant supply to our two-sided marketplace.
What you'll do:
As VP of Restaurant Sales, your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Sales Leadership to build out, lead, and implement effective sales strategies, pipeline management, and opportunity management, in order to reach revenue and growth targets
- Helping define repeatable processes, as well as clear sales roles & responsibilities, that can easily scale as we grow our restaurant business
- Building relationships and selling consultatively to VP, Director, and C-Level executives at enterprise restaurant groups
- Collaborating with across multiple teams, including Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Sales, to support go-to-market strategy, merchant launches, roadmaps, and key partnerships
- Managing all forecasting and revenue tracking in the enterprise space, presenting as needed to both internal teams and enterprise accounts
What you need:
- 7+ years of sales leadership experience, with proven success in hiring and scaling sales teams from early stage to high growth
- Successful personal track record of achieving/exceeding quotas
- Prior experience building out sales processes, including Salesforce optimization, pipeline management, sales org/structure planning, and compensation development
- 5+ years of enterprise and/or franchise sales experience preferred but not required, extensive Rolodex of senior and C-level Restaurant executives is a plus
- Willingness to travel 30% of the time to be with customers and the team
- Experience working in a hyper-growth or start-up type of business is ideal
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s degree preferred). Experience may be considered as a substitute for education depending on relevance.

- Worksite location: This is a fully-remote role that may sit anywhere in the United States. You're welcome to work from our DC, Austin, Chicago or New York office if you're in-region. Full Covid-19 vaccination is required to work from our Upside offices.
