Job Description
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Vulnerability Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of identifying, analyzing, and addressing security vulnerabilities within our customer’s networks and infrastructure.Â
As a Vulnerability Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to identify and analyze security weaknesses within our customer’s software, hardware, and other devices that require monitoring. You will be expected to continuously improve our vulnerability analysis and penetration testing processes and procedures and maintain familiarity with technology stacks, ensuring new and potential threats and remediation options are identified and communicated to the customer.Â
Responsibilities
Â
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments across customer systems, software, and networks to identify potential security vulnerabilities.Â
- Assist penetration testing team in offensive security functions.
- Collaborate with the internal BlueVoyant team as well as customer IT and cybersecurity teams to analyze and prioritize vulnerability data.Â
- Work with clients of various security postures and skill sets to deploy and maintain various information security related toolsets such as Tenable, Qualys, MDVM, and Nessus.
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes and tools for automated vulnerability discovery and reporting.Â
- Help customers monitor and track vulnerabilities until they are resolved and conduct follow-up assessments to validate remediation.Â
- Produce detailed and coherent reports of vulnerabilities, their impact, and proposed mitigation strategies and present them to customers.Â
- Stay up to date with the latest security systems, protections, and vulnerabilities to ensure our defenses are current and effective and aid in creating relevant customer alerts.
- Assist project management team in implementing customer requested vulnerability identification tools.
QualificationsÂ
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or relevant work experience.Â
- Cybersecurity-specific certifications like CVA and GEVA are preferred. OSCP, HTB CPTS, or similar certification is a plus.Â
- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.Â
- Hands on experience with BURP Suite, Metasploit Pro, and other offensive security tools.Â
- Familiarity with scripting languages and consoles such as Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell or similar.Â
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and their vulnerabilities.Â
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.Â
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.Â
