<p><strong>About the Job<strong> <p> <p>The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing payroll procedures interpreting statespecific payroll policies and regulations and managing the overall activities of payroll The role liaises between employees management the People Team and the thirdparty vendor for payroll to ensure all FMI employees are paid correctly and on time The manager also reviews and approves payroll prepared by a thirdparty service provider for employees located outside the US The manager is expected to collaborate closely with the People Team in pursuit of an exceptional employee experience <p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities<strong> <p> <ul><li>Build upon existing payroll processes to further mitigate risk and create efficiencies<li> <li>Build upon existing timekeeping processes to increase accuracy of timecards and ensure timely receipt of timecard information<li> <li>Execute accurate and timely processing of biweekly exempt and nonexempt payroll using ADP Workforce Now<li> <li>Manage payroll communications including mass communications and interactions with employees of all levels and departments with detailed source information<li> <li>Provide exceptional customer service to employees including oversight of timely responses to employee inquiries to the Payroll teams shared inbox<li> <li>Problem solve a higher complexity of payroll issues that are escalated from employees or direct reports<li> <li>Supervise train and provide professional coaching and development to the Payroll Administrators and complete all related hiring and transition management as needed<li> <li>Drive process discipline within Payroll and with key stakeholders including consistent enforcement of deadlines<li> <li>Update and review employee and payroll records in ADP including <ul><li>New hires and terminations<li> <li>Compensation changes<li> <li>Banking changes<li> <li>Tax changes <li> <li>Benefit deduction changes and<li> <li>Any other miscellaneous changes<li> <ul><li> <li>Coordinate with our 401k provider and facilitate timely deposits into participant accounts<li> <li>Ensure appropriate treatment of employee compensation for employees on leaves of absence<li> <li>Process the payroll and tax implications of equity awards<li> <li>Assist with preparation for annual 401k audits<li> <li>Assist in maintaining an effective internal control environment<li> <li>Generate reports on an as needed basis most frequently in collaboration with the People Team<li> <li>Manage accurate vacation and sick leave accrual information as needed<li> <li>Process accurate and timely yearend reports such as employee W2s<li> <li>Administer accurate withholding status and maintain these records<li> <li>Verify compliance with state and federal payroll compliance on a quarterly basis and maintain awareness of payrollrelated regulations and changes<li> <li>Other duties as assigned<li> <ul><p><strong>Qualifications<strong> <p> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications<strong> <p> <ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance Business or related discipline<li> <li>5+ years of experience with Payroll including 3+ years of management experience<li> <ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<strong> <p> <ul><li>Masters of Business Administration Human Resources Management or related discipline<li> <li>Certified Payroll Professional or similar certification<li> <li>Expertise with ADP Workforce Now and Reporting<li> <li>Knowledge of payrollrelated state and federal law and regulations<li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel<li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook<li> <li>Strong time management and organizational skills<li> <li>Strong problemsolving skills<li> <li>Excellent organizational and time management skills<li> <li>Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented with a history of highly accurate work<li> <li>Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and use discretion<li> <li>Understanding of the importance of confidentiality as it pertains to sensitive employee and company information and ability to maintain confidentiality<li> <li>Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data<li> <li>Commitment to FMIs values passion patients innovation collaboration<li> <ul><p>LIHybrid<p>
