EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUSThe person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing. This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.As a Power Electronics Design Engineer, you will support the development of the Avionics and Power systems for our artificial-gravity human-rated space station. Responsibilities: End-to-end ownership of power distribution electronics specification, architecture, simulation, schematic capture, PCB design, mechanical packaging design, board-level bring-up and validation, environmental qualification (vibration, thermal vacuum), and integrated system-level validation. Design of circuits to implement functions such as load switching, hot-swapping, power conditioning, inrush control, over-current fault detection, and electronic release mechanisms.Development of space station power system harnessing and high-current interconnect solutions.Perform failure modes and effects analyses and drive reliability design and validation plans at the system level.
