Support team located in Pasadena TX or Long Beach CA This position requires up to 1530 domestic travel <p> <p>This role reports to the North America Project Engineering Manager The essential functions of this role include <p> <ul><li>Manage all functions of a Project Engineering team including daytoday management of Project Engineers Designers and Construction Managers<li> <li>Main point of contact between the operational facilities business area stakeholders and the project engineering team<li> <li>Manages workload of all employees including up to 15 Project Engineers<li> <li>Handles appropriate staffing levels for the region to meet project demand including engineering team resources required for efficient project execution<li> <li>Participate in the TAR planning process and ensure staffing is appropriate to complete capital projects in large plant turnarounds<li> <li>Oversee all engineering design and construction resources in West Gulf Coast Region to include the Our Way of Leading OWL process<li> <li>Mentor Project Engineers through their careers<li> <li>Review all funding requests and project estimate prior to issuance for approval<li> <li>Ensure all projects receive adequate hazard and safety reviews and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner and documented appropriately<li> <li>Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designs and site demolition plans<li> <li>Oversee regional contractor development strategy through partnership with Air Products procurement team<li> <li>Evaluate bid tabs for major contracts prior to bid award<li> <li>Conduct yearly contractor audits to ensure compliance with EHampS standards<li> <li>Manage Project Safety and ensure proper communication protocols are followed<li> <li>Prepare and lead monthly safety meetings for the region communicating various incidents across the fleet and apply findings<li> <li>Responsible for managing the Capital Project forecast and capital plan development and execution for the region nearterm and longterm<li> <li>Ensure all projects meet the operability needs of the customer<li> <li>Gain a basic understanding of the operating plant environment process and equipment<li> <li>Lead monthly project status and gatekeeping meetings for the region with all stakeholders in the region<li> <li>Understand quality standards as outlined by Air Products and Chemicals Inc<li> <li>Timely review and approval of teams time entry and expense reports<li> <li>Ensure compliance of the Inflation Reduction Act IRA requirements as it relates to project staffing as those requirements are identified understood and deemed required<li> <li>Maintain accurate status of subregion key performance indicators to stay aware of region and team performance<li> <ul><p><strong><strong>Required Skills Abilities<strong><strong> <p> <ul><li>Manufacturing plant operations maintenance or capital projects experience 10 years minimum<li> <li>Strong leadership abilities<li> <li>Strong communication organizational and planning skills<li> <li>Selfmotivated and willingness to learn and improve<li> <li>High ethical standards<li> <li>Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours<li> <li>Plant outage experience<li> <li>Works professionally and harmoniously with employees peers management support personnel program participants and
