aircraft<p> <p><b>What you will do<b> <p><ul><li>As part of the ESPS organization and deployed in the Thermal and Venting group you will act as a Thermal Engineering Intern for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market<li> <li>Work in a multidisciplinary group to drive design electromechanical assemblies of high voltage components<li> <li>Perform analysis ranging from hand calculations and 1D models up to 3D multiphysics CFD on battery pack thermal components power electronics and avionic systems<li> <li>Post process and report analysis results to support design decisions and optimize the thermals management system for performance and weight<li> <li>Help design build and perform experiments of real aircraft systems to calibrate and validate simulations <li> <li>Support prototype builds and technology maturation testing to ensure thermal systems meet functional requirements<li> <li>You will be responsible for providing analytical support Mechanical Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent BS MS or PhD program<li> <li>You have worked on the development of complex hardware products in aerospace automotive or other similar industrial applications Prior experience through internships or with student design teams ex FSAE is a plus<li> <li>You have handson experience building prototypes setting up and running tests
