This role oversees a team of AP Team Leads and AP Analysts, reporting to the VP of Accounting Operations.CORE JOB DUTIES Manage the Accounts Payable team, leading all activities and operations in the accounts payable function for the organization including invoice processing, payment selections and processing, T&E processing, vendor maintenance, audit support and reporting (e.g., 1099 reporting)Provide accurate, high-quality service and support to external vendors and internal users through clear communication and timely resolution of issuesKey leader, driving continuous improvement of processes and procedures as company expands in to new and established markets; measures opportunities and improvement through the rigorous application of KPIs and metricsAct as main resource for the IT team to drive improvements and enhancements to AP systems and modules, including end-to-end procure-to-pay technologiesEnsure analysis of invoices for accuracy and eligibility for paymentManaging timely payments of vendor invoicesMaintaining accurate financial records and control reports and reporting and managing of KPIsPartner with VP Treasurer, Treasury team and VP Accounting Operations to streamline payment options, provide visibility of spend and ensure adequate controls over disbursementsWork closely with the Treasury Manager and Analyst to forecast cash for 13-week forecasting processWork closely with the General Accounting teams to ensure proper coding of AP invoices and accrualsEnsure integration/expansion of AP processes in newly acquired businesses and expanding marketsDocumentation and development of SOPs, process maps, and key controls in the functional area under supervisionSupport the year-end financial audit and tax preparation processBuild strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders (such as Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, IT, business functions, and external service providers)Other Duties as assignedREQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS Bachelor’s in business related field (Accounting, Business Administration), Certified Payables Manager (APM) or CPA desirable10+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable management or another related role Previous management experience requiredStrong written and verbal communications, exceptional interpersonal skills to engage team and stakeholdersPro-active and consistent follow through on assigned tasks Public company experience, including SOX controls, highly preferredProject management experience highly preferredExperience with financial accounting and ERP systems (SAP and/or Sage Intacct preferred) Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required Enjoys working in a start-up, fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently in a highly organized mannerBENEFITSCresco Labs is proud to offer eligible employees a robust offering of benefits including, major medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(K)-match program, FSA/HSA programs, LTD/STD options, life insurance and AD&D.
